Flood situation in Ratanakiri province, Cambodia

Refer to the weather situation Cambodia is suffering from a low pressure system from the South China Sea make a lot of rain in the Mekong River basin and causing floods in some provinces, especially in the northeast including Kratie, Stung Treng and Ratanakiri         province.

In particular, for Rattanakiri province from 15th -24th September 2013, the water level in both rivers Sesan and Srepok are get up immediately cause of the heavy rain around the area and after that, we got a notice from Vietnam, that Vietnam will released water from the Sesan 4A hydropower dam from 20th to 24th September 2013 in the amount of water from 3686m3/s to 8000m3/s, therefore, some villages along Sesan river get flooding. And the following data was the details that we received from Vietnam:

On 20th September 2013, Sesan dam 4A will release the water in the amount of 1535m3/s.

On 21st September 2013, Sesan dam 4A will release the water in the amount of 2727m3/s.

On 22nd September 2013, Sesan dam 4A will release the water in the amount of 3426m3/s.

On 23rd September 2013, Sesan dam 4A will release the water in the amount of 8000m3/s.

On 24th September 2013, Sesan dam 4A will release the water in the amount of 3686m3/s.
